Here at NDCL, we understand the importance of safe, convenient transportation options for our families residing in Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga, and Ashtabula County. We provide multiple options to facilitate this service.
Public School District Bus Transportation
Public School districts that provide round trip transportation at no additional cost to parents currently include: Cardinal, Chardon, Kenston, Kirtland, Mayfield, Mentor, Riverside, West Geauga, and Willoughby-Eastlake.

Public schools that give Payment-In Lieu of transportation
Public schools may give rider Payment-In Lieu of transportation. A school district where the travel time from the students public assigned school to Notre Dame Schools is less than 30 minutes must provide transportation, but may elect to give rider payment-in lieu instead. Information about the required amount can be found HERE.
Currently, Berkshire, Chagrin Falls, Crestwood and Grand Valley offer Payment-In-Lieu. To receive it, you must sign up with their Transportation Department. Payment-In-Lieu is only available if the district chooses not to provide a bus when required to do so. Not choosing to ride the bus does not make you eligible.
NDCL-Provided Transportation
As a service to our families, NDCL offers transportation for students who live in neighborhoods where busing is not provided by the local public school district. NDCL-provided transportation will serve those locations in Lake, Cuyahoga, and Geauga counties where the expressed need is greatest.

Other Traditional Transportation Options
- Parents can drive their children to school.
- Students, if driving age with a license, can drive. This privilege is open to students of any grade level.
